Bandipur lies midway between Kathmandu and Pokhara, is an old Newari town. Bandipur retains its age-old cultural attributes intact with temples, shrines, holy caves, innumerable festivals and Newari architecture. Bandipur is tantalizing-and as yet undiscovered. This town with pristine beauty provides an unrivalled view of the Himalayan panorama and overlooks the Marsyangdi river valley.

Bandipur is 4 hours’ drive from Kathmandu. It is situated at an altitude of 1005m and have panoramic views of Mount Dhaulagiri, Mount Annapurna, Mount Manasulu and Ganesh Himal. From this scenic town you can see the mighty Marshyandi River rushing down through lush terraced rice fields. Bandipur is an ancient mountain village inhabited by the Newari people. These people came to this place form their native area of Bhaktapur, bringing with them their own unique culture and traditions.
